We’re on BBC East Midlands News tomorrow – Thursday 23rd July!
This week, BBC East Midlands came down to film The Pickleball Collective for BBC Radio Nottingham’s Make a Difference Award….
……and we’re delighted to say that we’ve made the final!
The film airs on BBC East Midlands on Thursday 23rd July at 1.35pm and 6pm, with the awards themselves taking place in September.
Our nomination
We were nominated by two of our members, Didi and Tracey, both of whom are deaf. Their nomination means the world to us. It’s a brilliant reminder of why we do what we do – bringing people together through pickleball, whatever their background or ability.
A massive thank you to Didi and Tracey for the nomination, to everyone who came along and played on the filming day, and to Angela Rafferty and her cameraman for capturing it all.
Watch this space for September! 🏆 The final four nominees for the BBC Make a Difference Award.
